The Raide-Joker is replaced by a ski tube

The already begun and advanced Raide-Joker construction sites are changing in nature. In the future, there will be no access to tram traffic from Keilaniemi in Espoo to the Itäkeskus in Helsinki. Alignments and construction work, with their schedules, are still almost unchanged, only the purpose of use is completely changed.

Due to climate change, the Espoo and Helsinki Councils have unanimously decided to replace rail transport with a ski tube. Particularly due to the lack of snow in the past "winter", there is a danger that after four years, when the construction project is complete, the children born now and no one in the future will understand what winter, snow and skiing mean. The purpose of this ski tube solution is thus to avoid the ignorance of the people about the white hangs and snowballs of the past.

Ski tube for everyone to use free of charge

This solution will not get cold, but 25 kilometers of track in both directions will do. 50 km ski races are thus also possible. At 10,000 skiers at a time, both skiers will be at their best and tightest at the same time in both directions. The ski tube will be in use 24/7, allowing hundreds of thousands of people to enjoy skiing every day. Estimates depend on ski trip lengths.

There will be openings at the entrance to the ski tube at the same locations as the currently planned Raide-Joker stops, which have a total of 34. This allows you to ski directly in the vicinity of the Sello shopping center, for example. Likewise, skis from Vermo can come to watch skis.

The ski tube has a positive impact on winter and skiing knowledge

It is important to ensure that children know in the future that there were four seasons before. And that one of them was winter, when it was torturously cold and whitewashed. There are also a lot of skiing truths and sayings. For example, linguists are excited about these sequences of language.
